Following an action-packed summer and the airing of his debut BBC Radio 1 Essential Mix, Up The Stuss head honcho Chris Stussy will drop the second-ever release on his CSS sister label as he finally unveils his interpretation of Moby’s legendary production, ‘Go’. Breathing new life into the timeless classic that was ranked #69 in Rolling Stone’s ‘200 Greatest Dance Songs Of All Time’, the release continues the momentum from CSS’s inaugural offering, ‘Desire’, which dropped in February and has gone on to amass over 8.4 million plays via Spotify alone.

“This was initially intended to be an intro edit for my Boiler Room set in Edinburgh, but ‘Go’ has been one of my most requested IDs for the last couple of months. Since the original is such an iconic tune, I tried to use two main elements, the strings and vocals, and added my touch to give it a more dancefloor-esque vibe. I love to play it in almost every set” – Chris Stussy.

As a long-time fan of the original, Stussy brings his signature touch to ‘Go’ from the opening seconds, blending driving basslines with intricate grooves to create a fresh version that’s as respectful to the original as it is forward-thinking. Moby’s original has been a defining anthem in dance music for decades, and this take from the Dutchman adds a contemporary touch that keeps the spirit alive while updating it for a new generation of dancefloors – building his remixing streak by adding to his reinterpretation of Todd Terry’s ‘Bounce To The Beat’, plus previous reworks of Kerri Chandler, Jungle and more to serve up another fan-favourite ID from his sets.
