Tom Shoval a.k.a. ALPHADOG is a Haifa-born DJ and producer who launched his solo project in 2019, blending techno, and progressive sounds. His breakthrough came in 2022 with the release of Tarantela on Diynamic, gaining support from top DJs like Solomun and Tale Of Us. In 2023, he was named one of Tomorrowland’s “Future Four” and founded his label, AREA51. ALPHADOG continues to release music and collaborate with major artists, pushing the boundaries of electronic music.
Now he brings the energy born of a night’s wild festival performance to Adam Beyer’s melodic house and techno imprint Truesoul with ‘Keep Moving’, out now. An almost salsa-esque percussive beat carries staccato distorted industrial synth stabs and hoover doppler FX, with a worldly-wise drawling female voice – ‘maybe this isn’t what I want’ – bringing in a Chemical Bros vibe. The multiple drops reflect the festival gig which inspired the track and predict many dancefloor raves to come, while the main breakdown’s surprise melodic synth/piano chords add extra emotional depth.
