Hardwell Returns to Close Ultra 2022; Announces ‘Rebels Never Die’ Album & World Tour
October 2018 marked what felt like a final chapter in the story of Hardwell, when the Dutch dance music titan played his final show alongside the Metropole Orkset Symphony at Amsterdam’s Ziggo Dome. That moment launched a four-year hiatus for the two-time No. 1 DJ.
The Ultra Music Festival 2022 lineup left an air of mystery for weeks, with a mysteriously blurred out headliner conveniently beginning with the letter “H” stoking anticipation for Hardwell‘s resurgence. The return came with full intensity, as Hardwell took to the stage in Miami to re-introduce himself to the scene he dominated for years.
Hardwell‘s re-introduction came with a transformation – the ‘Rebels Never Die’ era has begun. The time spent away from public performance seems to have triggered a shift in style, while still maintaining some of the hallmarks of what propelled him to international stardom. The full throttle big room sounds maintain their presence, combined with a newfound gritty and powerful commitment to an unforgiving bassline.
This new beginning for Hardwell brings with it a world tour, as well as the promise of a new album. There are 14 new Hardwell tracks ready to be Revealed (literally) to the world. The first two tracks are titled “Broken Mirror” and “Into The Unknown,” and appear to be slated for an April 1 release.
Highlights of the tour include festival stops at Ultra Europe, both weekends of Tomorrowland and Creamfields. The tour hits major cities around the globe, and promises information about more stops deep into December.
The rebirth of Hardwell is about to be on full display. Ticket pre-sales begin Tuesday March 29th / 11.00H EST – 17.00H CET, with full sale beginning an hour later Tuesday March 29th / 12.00H EST – 18.00H CET. Visit https://linktr.ee/djhardwell for more info.
