John Summit – Connected [South Of Saturn]

Next wave American house talent and Chicago native John Summit lands on South of Saturn with a brace of tracks that build on his big 2019.Having made numerous appearances on Repopulate Mars last year, including the incredible ‘Stimulate EP’, Lee Foss favourite John Summit now joins the fellow Chicagoan’s South of Saturn imprint – continuing to cement his reputation as a high quality producer with a knack for crafting compelling grooves embellished with quirky sound design.

Opening up his account here is the bubbling ‘Connected‘, a catchy house tune with a meandering lead that gets you in a trance. Crisp drums keep things on the move while a vocal sample permeates the mix as things build to a peak that’s coloured with sci-fi pads and plenty of bass lead drama.The equally fresh ‘Illusions‘ is again based around warm, rubbery drums and a smattering of prickly percussion, but here a female lead brings spaced out vibes. Acid explosions, lithe synths and icy hi hats all add fuel to the fire and ensure this one keeps you locked.
