Modul Kollektiv – Exide EP [ZEHN]
Kittball’s Modul Kollektiv joins up with ZEHN Records to release two percussive house tracks entitled ‘Exide EP’.
Berlin’s Modul Kollektiv has had a prosperous few years to say the least. Since his debut release on Dirty Soul back in 2014 he’s gone on to work with the likes of Soundplate Records, Moonbootique, Bad Life and Kittball helping to cement himself as a formidable producer within contemporary house music. The end of 2018 sees him join up with ZEHN Records following releases from Daniel Rateuke, Betoko and Djuma Soundsystem & Out of Sorts.
Modul Kollektiv very much maintains the traditional ZEHN Records tribal sound throughout the EP with ‘Exide’ kicking things off with emphatic synth horns, a resonating bassline and organic percussion before ‘Skyless’ maintains the warm atmosphere through delicate melodies, shaky drums and pulsating low end.
