Last summer, leading music brand Broadwick Live announced a new project that would change the shape of the London landscape – DRUMSHEDS. A year later, the vast industrial warehouse space has become a mecca for culture and music in the UK, delivering two stacked seasons with globally loved DJs and live acts, high-spec production, and welcoming up to 15,000 guests for each event.
This September, DRUMSHEDS opens for a third major season with 20+ leading music brands, crews and collectives, and hundreds of artists from September – December, setting the bar higher than ever. DRUMSHEDS have just announced another set of heavy hitters to join, including ANZ, BATU, BICEP, BLAWAN, DJ STORM B2B DJ FLIGHT, KONSHENS, MAJOR LEAGUE DJZ, ELIZA ROSE, DJ STINGRAY, PENDULUM, MALA, KODE9, TSHA, LOGIC1000 and more added the Autumn / Winter music season. Set in the iconic 608,000sq ft warehouse space across three rooms – X, Y, Z, DRUMSHEDS continues to stamp its mark as London’s boldest space of recent times.
Masterminded by Broadwick Live (DRUMSHEDS, Printworks, Field Day, BEAMS +), the team have been on a mission to provide elevated, audience-first, live experiences for the UK. Featuring top-tier production, state-of-the-art lighting and sound, technology and the calibre of bookings, the space has carved a niche as one of a kind.
DRUMSHEDS is a statement of intent, setting the standard for an immersive musical-centred experience like no other. With shows that welcome fanatics from all genres, this season is being stacked with even more heat as they announce additional talent. Kicking off the season in style, DEFECTED arrive on the 28th of September to celebrate 25 years of house heaven, packed with an array of the highest in demand house selectors and producers from around the globe. Joining the celebrations TSHA has just been announced for this special show, known for her euphoric works and charming recent album ‘Capricorn’ she is a perfect addition for this opening show.
Ready to round off what has been a stupendous year for the staple dance station, Rinse FM arrives at DRUMSHEDS on October 5th to celebrate their 30th anniversary with none other than The Streets and DJ EZ. Also stepping up for the occasion Rinse FM has invited GIGGS back to Tottenham, the artist known for creating the UK’s unofficial national anthem – ‘Talking The Hardest’ alongside multi-genre expeditionist Keyrah for a day-into-night session. Since their journey began back in the 90s Rinse has been spearheading underground culture in London and beyond broadcasting DJs and artists from all corners of grime, bass, house and techno across the airwaves.
Known across the globe for their slick parties and inspired by their roots in New York, icons The Martinez Brothers are back in London to make their DRUMSHEDS debut, where they’ll be going b2b with special guest Solid Grooves co-founder PAWSA.
Synonymous with Broadwick Live venues, THE HYDRA is an event that needs no introduction delivering a programme of impeccably curated electronic music. Catering to guests’ appetite, this season also welcomes three shows exploring all corners of the left-leaning dance landscape with Four Tet, BICEP, and Honey Dijon on curation duties.
Taking place Saturday the 2nd of November, a true tastemaker with international recognition, Four Tet takes over DRUMSHEDS where he’ll invite some of the most respected artists from the bass realm and further afield. Two leading ladies from the jungle and DnB world, DJ Storm collides with DJ Flight for an unparalleled b2b. Hyperdub specialist and footwork aficionado Kode9 will also be joining. Meanwhile South London duo Mala and Coki aka Digital Mystikz will be propelling low end frequencies of the finest dubstep.
Round two of the Hydra invites a duo who have received accolades for their dedication to the scene – Bicep are garnering a lineup of undisputed experts on the 7th of September. Left-leaning house, techno and bassline from Anz, ready to rave with a variety of stacked sonics. One third of Hessle Audio, Pangea will be returning to The Hydra for a masterclass into unrivalled tech, electronic and breaks. Both recognised as masterminds for their complex productions Call Super will be going toe-to-toe with Pariah for a feisty b2b of leftfield sounds. Maricxs resident and Body Movements head honcho Saoirse takes to the stage. Finally, a pioneer recognisable for his commitment to the Detroit techno movement DJ Stingray 313 is back. Also waving the flag for techno FJAAK brings their industrial rhythms to space.
Next up, The Hydra invite Honey Dijon and her ‘House Nation’ for a multigenre evening of global club sonics with elite names representing sounds from both house and amapiano worlds. Two connoisseurs of house music make their debut at DRUMSHEDS – Carl Craig b2b Omar S. Finishing off the OG ‘BOTA’ herself Eliza Rose will be performing her iridescent show across house and garage for the night.
DRUMSHEDS very own inhouse queer night (now a staple in the LGBTQ+ calendar) returns for round three with icons such Jessie Ware, The Blessed Madonna b2b HAAi, GIDEÖN and also just announced ‘She’s On My Mind’ maker ROMY! Playing live. Expect looks, glamour, the finest beats and production as well as breathtaking performances from A Lawless Agency.
Devised by Broadwick Live ( Printworks, Field Day, Beams +) and although still in its infancy, DRUMSHEDS has truly made its mark, proving yet again their capabilities in culture, especially with this latest edition. Broadwick is dedicated to driving real impact through compelling live experiences in unique spaces that are home to communities and cultures. With the second season announced, DRUMSHEDS is here to stay and returning with yet another programme of interstellar music.
Located in North London’s industrial Meridian Water zone, which is only 4 mins from Tottenham Hale (Victoria Line) DRUMSHEDS will be easily accessible via tube, rail and buses.
