Londons ‘Best Boutique Festival’ – Cloud X – announces stellar line up for 2024 edition inc Ghetts, Pryia Ragu and more
London’s leading independent festival for R&B, Soul & Alt Rap is back in South London’s iconic Crystal Palace Bowl. Living up to its title as the “capital’s best boutique day festival”, Cloud X Festival has announced a stellar lineup for its hotly anticipated day of multi-genre talent on 2nd August.
Split across two stages, the homegrown festival from the Cloud X label offers live music & DJs including renowned Grime MC Ghetts; rising singer-songwriter Sam Tompkins; London soul artist Jaz Karis; UK rap king Skrapz; singer & Fred Again collaborator Berwyn; London DJ royalty Izzy Bossy; and Funky House pioneers Crazy Cousinz.
Self-styled as “for South London, By South London”, Cloud X Festival was started by two best friends David Dabieh and Ben Cross, who ran illegal raves in Brixton as teenagers. The festival carries on this same joyful, anarchic & youthful spirit, with its commitment to independence and progressive, gender-split lineups.
Custom stage designs and merch will be provided by official fashion partner AGR Knit, who has worked with Asake, Maya Jama, Lewis Hamilton and more; charity partners include Raw Material and Warchild; and photography comes from independent female-led agency Pay Your Shooter.
Founded by executive producer David Dabieh and creative director Ben Cross, Cloud X is an internationally minded London-based record label. Their mission is to showcase cultural pioneers and underrepresented voices. Cloud X has independently amassed over 500 million streams from their recording studios in Brixton, with releases from Santino Le Saint, Kwaku Asante, 070 Shake, Lancey Foux, Beheard, Kasien, and A2 ++.
2024 marks four years of Cloud X Festival, and to build even more anticipation there’ll be a pre-festival invite-only warm up show on the Soho House White City roof terrace on 12th July, with special guests to be announced.
Dabieh will also be executive producing a Cloud X Festival album involving artists on the lineup. The album camp will take place at Cloud X Institute, the new three-story building acquired by the entertainment company to create a physical space for recording, photography and co-working.
Cloud X Festival is an inclusive, open air day celebration with live performances, art and mouth-watering independent world food. For the independent minded, past performers have included Dave, AJ Tracey, Lancey Foux, Knucks, Lola Young, Idris Elba, Bree Runway, Sainte and Nadia Rose.
Prior to announcing the lineup, the Cloud X team released 500 Cloud X Community tickets on Monday 29th April at 10am, which sold out in 4 hours.
