Hardt Antoine – My Love [Reculture]
Acclaimed DJ, producer, label head and promoter Hardt Antoine shares his kaleidoscopic new EP My Love, on his own Reculture label.
My Love is an eclectic sonic journey, taking the listener on a trance-inducing trip through analogue melodies. The EP kicks off with the driving techno of ‘Dove’, and the titular refrain repeated in an irrepressible vocal sample. The brooding ‘Gimmie More’ follows, featuring Hardt’s full range of production talents with layer upon layer of inventive keys riffs. Finally, title track ‘My Love’ concludes the release with a flourish, peppering a pulsating groove with a playful selection of synth stabs, rasping hi hats, and more chopped-up vocal ingenuity.
My Love is the first major release of 2024 for Hardt Antoine, following his last single ‘Inside Your Mind’ on Innervisions late last year. He has also recently released remixes of FAIDE’s ‘Every Day Apart’ and Sahar’s ‘Different Days’, as well as the single ‘I Want You’, his contribution to TAU’s compilation album Spektrum 5.
Seamlessly weaving between DJ, producer, label head and promoter, HARDT ANTOINE’s artistic credentials cut boldly through the dance music. His eclectic music taste – strongly stemmed from his mixed French and Jamaican heritage – muses between many genres including house, classical, soul and ‘80s pop, resulting in productions which blend exciting melodies, sprinkles of vocals and an abundance of groove – all underpinned with a temptatious techno kick. Antoine’s strong output has been a favourite across the club circuit from Berghain’s Panorama Bar to fabric and SXM Festival, with tracks subsequently signed to electronic music’s most respected big-name labels including Innervisions, Kompakt, Correspondant, TAU and fabric Records.
Further afield, Antoine brings his expertise to label ANEMOS DANCE, which he runs with Maglia, Ilias Petrakis and DJ Gregory. The label has released some of Europe’s most sought-after electronic tracks, from both bigger names and rising artists in the scene, with all tracks composed in The Cyclades during the off season.
