Friend Within – Peanut Squash [Nothing Else Matters]

One of our all-time favourite producers, Friend Within, makes his debut on Danny Howard’s Nothing Else Matters imprint this August with his brand-new single, ‘Peanut Squash’.

One of the most respected DJs and producers in House music, Friend Within has more than a decade of experience under his belt. From early EPs on Dirtybird and Hypercolour, Friend Within’s immaculate productions thrust him to the forefront of the UK House scene helping to shape the burgeoning Deep House sound which saw Disclosure sign the now classic track, ‘The Renegade’.

The rise kept on coming in the form of remixes and collaborations with Disclosure, John Legend, London Grammar, Ella Eyre and Nero, culminating in a BBC Radio 1 Essential Mix comprised entirely of his own tracks. Behind the decks Friend Within has played all over the world with residencies at Ministry of Sound, Stealth and Mint Club plus shows at the biggest events across the globe including Warehouse Project, Fabric, Parklife, Creamfields, Printworks, Space, Amnesia, Exchange LA, Splash House and Glastonbury.

His latest outing, ‘Peanut Squash’ is a fun, quirky number showcasing rave influenced melodies, euphoric synth and chord work, punchy drums and snaking bass, making the track a robust dancefloor weapon perfect for the White Isle this summer season!
