MEDUZA – Friends [Aeterna]
With two releases in the ether and still receiving the utmost support on the radio, on streaming playlists and in the Beatport charts, AETERNA are set to release another of Meduza’s most coveted ID records of the past year, ‘Friends’.
Effectively an ode to rave music, the track masterfully emits shades of 90s classic, Underworld ‘Born Slippy’, with the transcendental vocal, rhythmically speaking to the dancefloor, much like a sermon, layered with the signature Meduza sonics, stabbing synths with spacial abundance and resonance which carries throughout the breakdown. Much like ‘Born Slippy’, Friends then elevates into a pumping release of energy, with thumping drums and chopped vocals ensuring the crowds will whip up into a frenzy of anthemic euphoria.
Speaking about the record, Meduza said “We made this record after a heavy period of touring, and wanted to create something full of energy for the dancefloors. We love the rave influenced sounds of the 90s and wanted to make our own 2023 sound to bring back the same feelings and emotions we remembered from then, to share with all our fans, our ‘Friends’”
