Hardwell, Maddix, 4 Strings – Take Me Away Again [Spinnin’]
Legendary DJ Hardwell teams up with Dutch phenomenon Maddix to spread retro video game magic on rework of classic 4Strings Eurodance track Take Me Away Again via Spinnin’ Records.
The original version of Take Me Away Again was a breakthrough hit best known for its presence on the Dance Dance Revolution games in the early 2000s and still holds up as a classic with over 27M Spotify streams to its name.
Since kickstarting his music career deep in the Netherlands at the age of 14, Hardwell has built a legacy crafting hits that have landed him multiple International Dance Music Awards, 2 World no.1 DJ titles, an MTV European Music Award, and more in addition to official remixes for superstars such as Rihanna, Calvin Harris, Moby, U2, J Balvin, and Coldplay.
Meanwhile, fellow Dutch native and frequent collaborator Maddix injects his captivating and creative sound into Take Me Away Again, continuing his massive career that has seen releases on labels such as Armada, Spinnin’ and Hardwell’s Revealed Recordings as well as performances at high-profile festivals such as Ultra Music Festival, Parookaville, World Club Dome, and Mysteryland.
With a seal of approval from 4 Strings, who described the rework as “a dancefloor banger”, Hardwell and Maddix now reunite for their fifth collaboration, a beloved trance rework that does the unprecedented exhilaration of the original justice. Take Me Away Again retains the same elusive euphoria while ramping up a signature modern dance floor sound that relies on prolific drops and underground basslines to slot perfectly into their own live sets.
