Creamfields South – 20,000 capacity Runway Stage heads South for the first time
When it comes to the festival experience, the production is almost as important as the performers. Only a few stages set the standard for providing an all-encompassing journey, and Runway presented by SHEIN at Creamfields is one of them. Since making its debut at Creamfields North last year, Runway has firmly earned its place as one of the main set-pieces of the UK festival scene. Loved by DJs and the audience alike and giving a full assault on the senses in a setting that goes beyond a simple audio-visual set up, and Creamfields HQ have just announced the return of the exclusive 20,000-capacity super structure as it makes its exciting debut at Creamfields South on May Bank Holiday weekend, featuring a world class line up and taking the festival experience to the next level.
Presented in conjunction with fashion brand SHEIN and brainchild of creative stage designers Lucid who have created a structure that combines art and engineering on an industrial scale, taking the form of a vaulted monolithic structure, made up of hundreds of metres of trussing, jaw dropping lighting, a bespoke sound-system and a suspended 50m video screen centrepiece. Taking full advantage of the outdoor setting, Runway comes alive, evolving in feel and scope as day turns to night providing a 360 immersive experience for festival goers.
Following the success of last year’s debut South edition, Creamfields have raised the game once again, with a huge line up set to be announced 9am (GMT) on Thursday 26th January combined with unique structures like Runway and the already announced Arc Stage, there’s no better way to kick off the festival season.
