To celebrate the compilation release, DJ/Producer Andrew Meller, who dropped ‘Espresso’ on the compilation has compiled an exclusive party playlist featuring tracks he currently vibes!
Andrew Meller is an artist known for the unfathomable amount of energy that comes with his productions. Like many great creators, he shares an impressively broad and cultured appreciation for music, not only electronic. The Serbian-born DJ & Producer has been cutting his teeth in the industry for well over a decade, with ventures under different guises all leading him to arrive at his current disposition.
Drawing inspiration from some of the greatest names in modern musical history, it is evident in Andrew’s work that he is an experienced musician. His creative process follows the same pattern as many iconic figures throughout the years, and that is also apparent in many records attached to his name. Andrew’s sound is a strong border between authentic progressive and techno, with bolstered beats and melodic scores to rival some of the historical best in the business.
Fred again.. x The Blessed Madonna – Marea (We’ve Lost Dancing) (Original Mix) [Atlantic] I find this tune is so refreshing in these crazy times that we are living in right now. I love the drums here and the synth is stunning. The theme and the lyrics are on point too and make me think about all the joy, dancing and hangouts we had and miss so much. I just get lost when I play it.
Monki – Flipside [Pets Recordings] This one is a tech house roller that for me will make people dance and help maintain the energy on the floor. A proggy bassline combined with synths gives that festival fire. A recent production from Monki and it is just awesome.
Reboot – Beating Bud (Original Mix) [Cecille] I have chosen one from Reboot here and as always he is on point with his sound. This one will shake your body 100%. A house bassline and summer piano theme that comes just in time to make your mood even better. Recommending this one for peak time.
Dusky – Hildegard (Extended Mix) [17 Steps] The synthwave theme together with the rolling bassline on this track from Dusky on 17 Steps makes me melt. I love to play this tune in the morning hours, it sounds so special then.
Adana Twins – Nimbus [Watergate Records] Heading to that nu disco sound with their latest releases, Adana Twins have definitely been catching my attention. I have picked up many tracks from them but this one in particular has enough power in it to take the place to the sky!
Dean Mickoski, MistaJam – Afro Moon (Andrew Meller Remix) [Stealth Records] This one is maybe not the best track I have made, but it is the most contagious one for sure. It will get into your ear and by the time it is finished you will be singing it again.
Baltra – I Want You (I Need You Extended Mix) [Nothing Else Matters] This one from Baltra on the label Nothing Else Matters is a proper house tune with great vocals, strings and groove. This tune is great for sunrises and evoking some special memories.
Joris Voorn, Alex Kennon – Blinding Lights (Joris Voorn Remix) [Spectrum (NL)] A stunning groove and massive vibes coming out from this remix by Joris Voorn on his label Spectrum. Such a powerful track and personally my favorite. I played it recently at the massive EXIT festival and I can say that this one will change the atmosphere totally.
Kinky Sound – Lemon Haze (Original Mix) [Ritual] What a kinky tune! The bassline and the drums groove moves you and then synths melt you before you come to a breakdown in the track where all the magic will happen. It has an odd theme with elements that will wake up that animal in you. I don’t know about you but this may be my favorite track for this summer.
Myd – The Sun [Because Music] To conclude this top 10 i choose this track ‘The Sun’ from Myd on Because Music. I love to finish my sets with this one. Everything is well packed and refreshing like everything that comes from the Ed Banger crew.
