Robbie Doherty debut solo single ‘Colours’ set to release on AVENU Records as the first instalment of his new club-ready sound.

Young, breakthrough Belfast producer and DJ, Robbie Doherty presents his newest single following on from his recent crossover success, displaying his matured, independent approach to production that showcases a new facet of his diverse musical palette. Kickstarting his 2021 release schedule with ‘Colours,’ a single alluding to the isolating impacts of technology causing neglect to the colours and experiences of the outside world that many people have faced with the difficulties of the past year.

Ethereal, trance-style vocals enhanced by smooth pads, dreamy piano hooks and enticing melodic arpeggios together create the atmospheric foundation of the track. The driving energy is carried by the breakbeat percussion paired with a rich, pulsating bass line. The euphoric breakdown leads into an energetic climax accented by a percussive rave-inspired chord progression.
