Little Fritter – 100% Tapped [Catch & Release]
Having built up notoriety as one of Gold Coast’s most celebrated troublemakers, the house music problem child known as Little Fritter is cutting loose on a new two-track offering on FISHER’s esteemed Catch & Release imprint. The two lifelong mates and adrenaline-seeking surfer buds were making waves together right before lockdown orders barged in to swiftly poop on all the parties, as the former stepped in as support during three sold-out nights at the Shrine in Los Angeles, as well as getting in on some good fun at EDC Las Vegas.
The self-described fun, fruity Aussie adventurer is now ready to carry on with the hijinks by making his label debut on FISHER’s label with ‘100% Tapped’ Its title cut is pure sass and class, bolstering eccentric characteristics that unfold while a tension-snapping build escalates into a full-blown head-trip built around shifty rhythms and gnarly bassline growls. Tapped is the only descriptor worthy of embodying its hedonistic essence. On the B-side, “Bang This Joint” doesn’t ease up on the quirky sensibilities in the slightest. Instead, the trickster stays true to his unorthodox ways by working around circular bleeps, white-knuckling risers, crisp percussive hits, and looped vox effects rolled into a dank groove that’s begging to be passed around. Before smashing the play button, it would be wise to set aside some recovery time after this two-track sesh drags you down a sonic bender.
