GW Harrison – Rising [Solotoko]
Following grooving summer hit Hear My Soul earlier this year on Toolroom, GW Harrison now returns to Sonny Fodera’s Solotoko for two track weapon Rising.
Since debuting on Solotoko back in 2019 with EP You Got Me Feeling, George AKA GW Harrison has continued to rise above the ranks. Maintaining a healthy release schedule, the Adobe resident has delivered dance ready releases on the like of Kaluki, Adobe, Elrow, Cr2, Sola and most recently Toolroom.
Gracing Mark Knight’s imprint with Hear My Soul earlier this summer, GW Harrison has garnered support from the likes of Danny Howard on BBC Radio 1 and Kiss FM as well as heavyweight support from Ferreck Dawn, Sam Divine, David Guetta, Claptone, Hot Since 82, Rudimental and more.
Born out of the iconic 90s rave culture, GW Harrison’s fresh approach to electronic music takes influence from that era, whilst adding his own modern twist. A combination that has served him well since emerging on the scene, Harrison already has two Beatport no.1’s and multiple top 10’s to his name whilst Spaceman via Sola scored one million streams.
Now returning to Solotoko, Rising features grooving riffs and rhythmic percussion, catapulting into laser synth drops whilst a funky vocal chant soars amongst the head bopping bass. Meanwhile, b side Operator boasts old school samples that chop and distort amongst subtle melodic pads and an addictive drum line, making for the perfect tech house heater.
