Andrew Meller – Sadcited [Sola]
Andrew Meller is invited back by Solardo’s Sola imprint and doesn’t disappoint with his two track EP, Sadcited.
“Both tracks are inspired by the fight for life. When I was making “Keep Rocking” my focus was on dedication, hard work and fight for your place on this earth. The fuel is music, the engine is hard work! “Sadcited” is more a struggle and conflict between worlds which you can hear in the contrasting elements of different genres. When you play in synergy they sound like a monster.” – Andrew Meller
The EP kicks off with the title track, Sadcited, exhibiting Andrew Meller’s dedication to the craft of production, the track starts with a rolling, thumping bassline building the intensity to the first breakdown where you’re introduced to a cacophony of big-room rave chords that become increasingly interwoven until a drop that is sure to dominate the club sound systems. Next up is Keep Rocking, which creates a similarly dark atmosphere through the use of a distorted and luring vocal sample which combines perfectly with a wide variety of percussive elements and a heavy techno bass line. The track perfectly displays Andrew Meller’s skill in creating a track that is refined while still keeping the raw techno edge on display.

Like many great creators, he shares an impressively broad and cultured appreciation for music, not only electronic. Drawing inspiration from some of the greatest names in modern musical history, it is evident in Andrew’s work that he is an experienced musician. Andrew’s sound is a strong border between authentic progressive and techno, with bolstered beats and melodic scores to rival some of the historical best in the business.
