MANT – Kick It EP [Repopulate Mars]
London duo MANT debut on Repopulate Mars with three lively house tracks entitled ‘Kick It EP’ including a collaboration with multifaceted San Franciscan artist Kevin Knapp.
Following a seismic 2019, having released on labels like Toolroom, VIVa MUSiC, Circus, Higher Ground and Sola, the pair has quickly proven themselves to be reputable producers and have even collaborated with the likes of Solardo, Eli Brown, Biscits, and Sonny Fodera (dropping on SOLOTOKO, the latter was a Beatport Top 10 hit). Picking up regular plays from the likes of Marco Carola, Andrea Oliva, Nic Fanciulli and Michael Bibi, they can add Lee Foss to their ever-growing list of supporters as they debut on his renowned Repopulate Mars imprint.
‘Kick It’ is a bubbling house number with a twitchy bassline, manic arps and cascading effects, not to mention Kevin Knapp’s iconic vocals. Featuring crunchy snares and a quivering hook, ‘Move My Body’ demonstrates MANT’s ability to construct a captivating groove before concluding matters with the driving, squelchy acid cut ‘Peaches’.
