Tall Paul – Burn Up EP [Sola]
Showing no signs of slowing down, Solardo-run imprint Sola unveils Tall Paul‘s standout two track EP, Burn Up. Tall Paul brings an exciting rave-style production to the Manchester based label which shines through in both Burn Up and The Anthem.
“The B side of the EP; “The Anthem“, I gave to Eats Everything, he loved it and invited me down to Elrow in Ibiza where he played it and it went down amazingly with the crowd and in the booth. I then wrote “Burn Up” the next morning in my Ibiza hotel room, inspired by the events of the night before. Steve from Concrete PR presented it to the Solardo boys and boom, it’s found the perfect home at Sola” – Tall Paul
Burn Up kicks off proceedings with a deadly bass kick which soon breaks down into the vocal hook overlaid with dramatic synths and powerful rave stabs. Energetic from the off, The Anthem leads with a mind-bending rhythm drawing you into memories of packed warehouses as it builds to the drop.
Tall Paul, one of the stalwarts of the UK scene, has been rocking dance floors across the globe for nearly thirty years. He started DJing as a teenager, spinning vinyl at the legendary club, Turnmills. After securing a residency at notorious all-nighter Trade in 1990, Tall Paul was soon in demand across the UK, playing all the big clubs that made UK clubbing history and of course starting his own club night “The Gallery” which enjoys twenty five years in 2020 at the Ministry of Sound.
