Printworks London – Annie Mac Presents
Having sold out Printworks for the inaugural Annie Mac Presents London Festival, the BBC Radio 1 stalwart returns to the Press Halls on Friday 6th March with a live set from Leo Pol confirmed plus DJ sets from Nightmares on Wax, Route 94, Jaguar, Adelphi Music Factory, Nite Fleit and a very special guests still to be revealed.
Cultural destination, Printworks London first opened its doors in January 2017. Once home to the largest printing factory in Western Europe, the original aesthetics, giant machines and printing presses have been preserved to create a stunning, industrial environment for a dynamic array of events. Their award-winning seasonal music series showcases the best in live and electronic music, becoming a vital part of the city’s vibrant cultural scene today and garnering global acclaim.
Through the respect of her music choices on BBC Radio 1 and her ever increasing DJing accomplishments, Annie Mac always attracts crowds and her ability means she always impresses them. She comes from a musical family. Brother Rod is a folk musician. Sister Rachel is an artist and brother Davey is the lead singer with indie band The Crimea. ‘I know every Pogues song by heart. I grew up properly in love with Thin Lizzy. There was always trad stuff like The Furies and Christy Moore playing and The Smiths’.
Featuring collaborations with Mozez & Allan Kingdom, Jordan Rakei, Andrew Ashong and more, Nightmare On Waxs is a marriage of soul, hip-hop, dub and timeless club sounds that he has been mutating and perfecting for years, energized by globetrotting runs of studio sessions and DJ sets. Route 94 has been cultivating his sound for 10 years, first getting to grips with music production when he was 13, his sound is distinct, and evident in his diverse range of productions. For some, a No.1 hit is the recipe for disaster, but Route 94’s level headed, low-key response means he has remained consistent, in-demand and ever present in the minds of fans all over the planet.
Whether it’s introducing esteemed DJ’s at Mixmag’s Lab LDN, hosting her bi-weekly slot on Reprezent Radio or tearing up clubs with her sets, Jaguar does is with an authentic energy and positivity like no other. Australian-born, London-based Nite Fleit has cultivated a distinct, uncompromising sound of her own, setting the club circuit ablaze, through refined DJ sets and genre-melding original productions.
