Gruuve – Krush EP [MÜSE]
Gruuve debuts on MÜSE to open the New Year with his two-track EP, ‘Krush’. Barcelona-based, Argentinian talent Tomas Acosta, aka Gruuve, is one of the latest South American artists quickly rising the ranks within house and tech house. Having emerged onto the scene in 2014 via his breakthrough ‘Wrong File’ EP on Stefano Noferini’s Deeperfect imprint, Acosta has shown no signs of slowing with releases via the likes of Lapsus Music, NOEXCUSE, his own label MUUV and Dennis Cruz’s Lemon-Aid, gaining support from Marco Carola, Nic Fanciulli, and De la Swing to name just a few, and January now sees a label debut on Cruz and Eddy M’s MÜSE as delivers his ‘Krush’ EP. Title track ‘Krush’ opens the EP in the Argentinians slick, trademark style with crisp organic drums working alongside delayed vocal hooks and snaking bass hits, whilst second cut ‘Whispered’ lays the focus on further rolling percussion grooves, sweeping synths, and energy-raising builds throughout.
