Deeper Purpose & Intrusive – Malfunction [South Of Saturn]
London-based producer Deeper Purpose joins forces with fellow Repopulate Mars artist Intrusive to serve up ‘Malfunction’, forthcoming on the label’s offshoot imprint, South of Saturn.
The recent launch of Lee Foss’ label South of Saturn saw the likes of Ben Hemsley kick-start it into territories of success much like its parent label, Repopulate Mars. After the duo’s collaborative blowout ‘Manipulation’ release on the imprint, which received support from Steve Lawler, Fisher and Nic Fanciulli, it’s no surprise that they have been invited to showcase their rhythms on Lee’s latest label project.
‘Malfunction’ opens the package with their signature bassline groove, retro synth stabs and decaying hooks. Then carrying the energy is ‘Excuse Me’ taking control with a 303 pulse, discerning vocals, tight drums and subtle risers.
