Tibasko – Bodhi [Omusaré Records]
Tibasko has released their latest future hit in “Bodhi” out on their own Osumaré Records. The track sees the duo follow up their viral hit “Alma” with a beautifully deep take on progressive melodies and world music inspiration. “Bodhi” starts out rooted in deep beginnings, culminating in a swirling mix of acidic and ethereal production.
The guys Tibasko have deep roots in music. And when Ken Petalcorin decided his next project should be in electronic music, he took his roots in indie, guitar, classical, R&B, and jazz to his longtime friend and seasoned DJ Andy Bowden, it was clear that magic was going to happen. After releasing music together on Open House Records, the duo have gone on to DJ all over the UK from Brighton, to London all the way to Loughborough and Leeds. This year they graced their first festival stage at El Dorado Festival in Herefordshire, supporting the likes of Honey Dijon, Krywald and Farrer, and Laurence Guy.
“Bodhi” follows a coupling of impressive success stories for Tibasko. The first was launching their own label Osumaré Records, and the second was the debut EP Alma, which has racked up over 200,000 Spotify streams and peaked at number 11 on the Beatport Top 100 Deep House charts.
