Sonny Fodera – The System EP [ABODE]

The Abode label continues to go from strength to strength and celebrates it’s 17th release by welcoming Defected favourite, Sonny Fodera. Sonny has recently launched his own ‘Solotoko’ label and embarked on a sold-out UK ‘Online’ tour which saw him take in London, Liverpool, Glasgow, Dublin and all major UK cities. His collab with Radio One hero Danny Howard came out on Rinse recently and stormed the Beatport charts as did his ‘Candy’ release with Gene Farris, paving the way for this awesome 2 track EP to follow suit!

‘The System’ leads the way here and Sonny teams up with Flash 89 for the journey. It chuggs along at a rate of knots with a big bassline, crisp percussion, bundles of energy and some catchy vocal layers. Expect this to be taking the roof of the Abode residency at Amnesia every Thursday! The flip slows things down a little and Bohemien is brought in to add some daytime vibes to proceedings along some lush female vocals on ‘Feel The Same‘. All in all a perfect EP to cater for day and night time vibes and a triumphant debut for Sonny Fodera!
