Mlapa – With Her

Australian producer Mlapa presents his latest ‘With Her’ inspired by the rock electronic music wave, and his travels through out Asia. The instrumental for this track was written whilst backpacking in Vietnam, and the vocal is from an old Rock demo I recorded. I had just received support from The Chainsmokers on a remix I did for them for the track “Everybody Hates Me.” As a result, I found myself listening to more of their music, which I believe subconsciously influenced the writing process (structure etc) in this track.  Being away from my studio for 3 months meant that I had to get creative with the music I was working on. There was a lot of mixing and matching, revisiting old work, and collaborating with people along the way. This song wouldn’t be what it is today, without taking myself out of my normal environment. It’s the first track that I’ve released publically, that features my own vocals.”
