Eastern Electrics Festival 2018 Announces Artists & Stages
Eastern Electrics has long been a key member of London’s clubbing community. Starting as a warehouse rave almost ten years ago, EE has grown to be a fully-fledged festival affair – an essential date in the calendar for any electronic music head. Branching out from its one day format, EE also can announce a second day, with some of the heaviest names in bass, garage, reggae and D&B involved – think Sir David Rodigan MBE, one of the biggest D&B labels in the world, and more to be come.
Seven stages make up the core of Eastern Electrics’ Saturday, each bringing a unique sonic vibe to Morden Park. The almighty EE MAIN STAGE plays hosts globally revered names, with Hot Creations and Paradise boss Jamie Jones returning – bringing with him a combo of melodic techno and deep house cuts. Everyone’s favourite Geordie, Patrick Topping, makes his Eastern Electrics debut, and then find Dirtybird founder and long-term legend Claude Vonstroke bringing fun-filled, eclectic sounds to get the crowd grooving. Defected artist Sonny Foderaalso joins, with production trio Wax on Mare Street. Plus, there’s two guests to come, both EE royalty and past Main Stage guests. Eyes peeled.
Stage partners for day two include label of D&B pioneers, who’ll bring a label squad to Modern Park for a massive Sunday session. London via Leeds party starters REGGAE ROAST join, with a spicy line up to follow soon, as well as the one and only garage GOD MATT JAM LAMONT who presents a ‘HISTORY OF GARAGE AND BASS’ with some of the scene’s biggest names TBA. London party crews SOUTH LONDON SOUL TRAIN and SO FRESH SO CLEAN also bring teams of artists to Eastern Electrics 2018, Soul Train bringing those disco belters and grooving funk, whilst So Fresh So Clean is singalong hip-hop anthems and RnB ALL DAY LONG. Eyes peeled for more info.
Between 4th – 5th August in South London’s lush Morden Park there’ll be thousands of like-minded party people celebrating dance music – appreciating the next level production from the Switchyard stage to the Electric City, there’s so much to see and do. Choose one day, or go hard and box off the whole weekend – it’s up to you. Tickets for the whole weekend are available from £57.50, or grab a single day ticket for £35 (Sat) or a bargain £20 (Sun).
