Eli Brown – Sumatra EP [ Toolroom]

Eli Brown is undoubtedly one of the most exciting up and coming UK acts on the tech house scene at the moment. He first pricked our ears up earlier this year when we picked up ‘Keep On’ as an Ibiza Underground album exclusive. From then he went on to release on Viva, Repopulate Mars, Of Unsound Mind and Sola to boot. So it gives us great pleasure to welcome Eli to the new breed of Toolroom Family as we present his debut EP on the label, ‘Sumatra‘. Eli has created 2 tracks of mammoth proportions here; ‘Sumatra‘ is a pure peak-time tech houser that flies along at 100mph with tribal percussion galore and a driving wood-hit that doubles up as a quirky hook. Eastern Jam slows things a little and grooves us out with some stunning tribal chanted vocals making this a perfect EP for Mr Brown to showcase his sound. Expect to see and hear a lot more from Eli & Toolroom in the Future.
