Warner Music Group Buys Spinnin’ Records
Dutch mega-label Spinnin’ Records has reportedly been purchased by Warner Music Group in a deal valued over $100 million. The news was first reported by Music Business Worldwide.
Spinnin’, which was founded in 1999, joins the Warner group that also bought out Parlophone in 2013 for $765 million. Neither side has confirmed the transaction. Sources indicated that both Sony Music and Believe Digital were interested in purchasing Spinnin’.
Spinnin’, of course, has been the gold standard in dance music labels for years. Their prolific releases and consistent talent are hallmarks of their commitment to top-level dance music content.
