PREMIERE: BLKWHT & Gummy Kid feat. MITIKA – Grooveland [Hoist Records]

Hoist Records brings a hefty dose of groovy vibes on a track aptly titled “Grooveland”.

Duo BLKWHT teams up with Gummy Kid and MITIKA for the first-ever vocal track on the imprint. MITIKA, the vocalist, brings some serious star power having worked with KSHMR and Marnik on “Mandala”. BLKWHT has recently had tracks supported by the likes of Hardwell and Nicky Romero. These artists also collaborated on a remix of “Flip It” by Charlotte Devaney.

A heavily-distorted topline dominates the sound on “Grooveland” at first. Its almost acid-like vibe steers the record toward a mainroom DJ set. Uplifting piano chords link excellently with MITIKA‘s emotional vocals for a strong contrast to the drops. The two atmospheres combine as the track builds back up towards another round of funky BLKWHT and Gummy Kid groove. “Grooveland” is out July 7!
