K?d Reveals Lost Track – Deleted Memory
As if blessing us fans with “Glitch Boy” wasn’t enough, K?d has revealed a Soundcloud page where you can find lost and unreleased tracks made by him. The page has been named “K?d archives” and the first song posted is called “Deleted Memory“. K?d has stated that he will even include the reason for why each song was never released or finished. In the case of “Deleted Memory“, the description for not being finished was, “made this track over a year ago, could never find the project file to finish it and fix the mixing etc… so enjoy this lost track.” The song starts out with very intense drums, before turning into a wide and open musical environment. Melodic and arpeggio notes fill the air as the background synth grows. The music becomes stronger and a sliding synth makes its appearance. When the drop hits, the drums explode and the synths fire like cannons. The melody is powerful and has an emotional and asserting mood to it. Then the drop ends, we get brought back to the environment of piano and arpeggios.
The music grows and a nice whistling melody flutters overhead. As we have come to expect with most K?d songs, the second drop always catches us off guard. The melody has changed from the powerful sound to a still strong but more elegant feel. The rhythm synths carry the music so well, and the drop just sounds fantastic. The music exits with piano and that whistling melody, and leaving a great feeling inside us.
I don’t know if K?d did anything last minute before uploading this. But for an unfinished track, this is very well produced and really gives off that K?d vibe, even if it is from more than a year ago. I’m really glad K?d made a place for his unreleased music. It really gives us an opportunity to see an artist’s sound while its raw, before it’s mastered and perfected. I hope we get to see more of these soon.
