Trance Pioneer Robert Miles Dead at 47
The mastermind behind the eternal hit “Children,” Robert Miles, died yesterday at age 47.
Miles, born as Roberto Concina, died as a result of a “battle with stage 4 metastatic cancer”. He died while in Ibiza.
“Children” topped the charts in 12 countries, per the BBC, and the track itself is credited as trance’s springboard to mainstream. The track served as inspiration for some of today’s most prominent artists. Some of his other successes came in “Fable” and “One and One”. Miles also released six studio albums over the course of his career.
The legend was also remembered by many of his peers in the music industry.
