Thomas Gold – Revelation: Part 1 [Armada Music]
Thomas Gold opens up his musical bag of tricks to deliver the first part of an impressive album titled Revelation.
The decorated German now adds another feather to his cap with the five-track portion of the album in partnership with Armada Music. The hitmaker behind “Sing2Me,” “Remember” and more, Thomas Gold opts to mostly shed his house music background. Instead, he explores pop and future bass sounds to great success. Early supporters of the album’s tracks include Nicky Romero, Dash Berlin and more.
Revelation kicks off with “Magic,” where Jillian Edwards uncorks mesmerizing vocals over a mellowed-out downtempo feel. “Survive” with Ida Hallquist turns up the energy a little more, adding light-hearted synths to a faster overall track. “Sanctuary” brings in TLJ on vocals, and a darker interpretation of the future bass sound. “Better Versions of Myself” takes high-pitched vocals from an uncredited voice and pairs them with a bouncy vitality that makes the track unique. “Saints & Sinners” with M.BRONX closely resembles Thomas Gold‘s earlier progressive house work with a combination of passionate vocals over a beautiful melody.
