Hector Couto – Climax EP [VIVa]
Spanish-based producer and DJ, Hector Couto, is embedded within contemporary house music culture having received acclaim from some of the scene’s very best artists. Couto’s VIVa career started almost six years ago and in that time the Spaniard has matured into one of the most recognised names in house music and, therefore, we are thrilled to welcome Hector Couto to VIVa LIMITED with this 4-piece Climax EP.
Steve Lawler was first aware of Couto’s unique but infectious production style following the releases of ‘Asere’ and ‘Charca’ on Ethnica EP in 2011. And Lawler enjoyed the former so greatly that it was re-released on VIVa MUSiC’s #BeatportDecade Tech House. Since 2011 the talented Spanish artist has enjoyed releases on numerous labels such as WOW! Recordings, Suara, Roush, Lost Records, Get Physical and Defected.
Hector Couto is very well respected within the house and techno community, making a number of DJing acquaintances along the way. One relationship that has shaped Couto’s career in particular is with Darius Syrossian and their paired production of Who’s The Douche? EP, released on Hot Creations in 2013, is one of the Spaniards best releases.
Lawler has already enjoyed working with Hector Couto this year, the latter remixing ‘People Having Sex’, which was released on Roush and the pair have come together once again for this brilliantly produced EP.
