Bassjackers & Brooks – Joyride [Spinnin’ Records]
The producers who linked up to create “Alamo” join forces again as the Bassjackers and Brooks unleash “Joyride”.
“When browsing through Brooks‘ files, we found this amazing melody which apparently had been awaiting production for over 1.5 years! We were happy to step in and produce our second track with Brooks: ‘Joyride’.”
– Bassjackers, via official press release.
This brilliant combination of luck and talent turns a forgotten project file into a fantastic track. Like mentioned earlier, these guys are familiar with each other in the studio. “Alamo” dropped in May 2015, and peaked as high as No. 2 in the Beatport Electro House chart. Already, “Joyride” already received support from dance music’s upper echelons like Martin Garrix, Hardwell, David Guetta and more.
“It felt great spending some time in the studio with Bassjackers again! We started this project a while ago and I’m really happy with the end result!”
– Brooks, via official press release.
“Joyride” is an incredibly different record from “Alamo”. “Alamo” brought a big-room banger feel, but “Joyride” goes for a more nuanced sound. Bassjackers and Brooks decided to switch out the coarse electro synths for a light and beautiful progressive sound. This feel brings plenty of emotion, but still retains its energy. Next, the magic really happens on the drop. Expertly chopped synths and perfectly apportioned bass bring “Joyride” to a stunning climax.
