Yves V – Find Your Soul [Spinnin’ Records]

Belgian talent Yves V has produced tracks all over the house music spectrum, but returns to progressive roots on “Find Your Soul”.

The Tomorrowland resident continues to craft great tunes, as last year was highlighted with hits like “Daylight” with Dimitri Vangelis & Wyman and “To The Beat” alongside Laidback Luke. Yves V also announced recently that his V-Sessions stage will return to this summer’s edition of Tomorrowland. Count Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, Lost Frequencies and David Guetta as just the first of many to spin “Find Your Soul”.

Yves V plays with contrast very well on this record. He does an excellent job using cut-up vocals to serve as the lead sound in a chilled out breakdown. The buildup that comes next actually sneaks up on you as a listener because the transition itself is so subtle. Before you know it, frantic high-pitched synths and an ample helping of bass tie everything together to create an energetic progressive tune bound to get people moving.
