This tune comes from two of the label’s brightest young stars in the form of Swede LoaX and Dutchman Jayden Jaxx. Each is quite familiar with the Fonk imprint, with multiple releases under their belts. These producers are no strangers to each other in studio also, with their track “Tango” releasing on Fonk‘s Summer EP.
“Wildwood” brings a high amount of energy immediately from the beginning. LoaX and Jayden Jaxx used a low-pitched vocal weaved in alongside intricate percussion to create a build up with the perfect amount of intensity. The drop comes at you hard, with an ample serving of bass and slick synths that slide from note to note. Of course, like any Fonk track, these elements work together to create an insane amount of groove. “Wildwood” is a powerful and unique record, and the perfect way for Fonk to close out their 2016 catalog.
