The Thrillseekers with Shannon Hurley – Love Me For A Day [FSOE Recordings]
It’s not often that you stumble across a track that simply takes your breath away, but Steve Helstrip and Shannon Hurley’s “Love Me For A Day” does just that — and emphatically so.
Helstrip, otherwise known by his artist alias The Thrillseekers, originally began producing his debut album Escape around 10 years ago. Admittedly “picky” when it came to writing and producing the content for the album, he sought to experiment and show off the many different sides of his production style whilst also working closely with his many collaborating artists. Among the most notable tracks featured on the album is “Love Me For A Day”, a majestic track full of energy and emotion.
Upon first listen, it becomes rather apparent that this isn’t going to be your average, stereotypical trance track. Rather than continuing the louder, more aggressive musical trends often heard in the trance community these past few years, Thrillseekers instead decided to turn it down a notch for a blissful tune that’s equally as beautiful and melodic as it is heavy and rhythmic. Shannon Hurley’s vocals are absolutely stunning, and perfectly capture the overall mood of the track. Without the vocals, “Love Me For A Day” would still be an exceptional track—especially when considering all the brilliant melodies and rhythmic grooves the track has to offer—but it’s truly Shannon Hurley’s vocal work that makes this such an exceptional track.
If you’re already a fan of vocal trance, this is undoubtedly a must listen!
The Thrillseekers’ latest album Escape was released December 2, 2016 on Future Sound of Egypt Recordings. You can purchase the track here or the full-length album here.
