Robotaki – Ghostboy feat. Claire Ridgely [Majestic Casual Records]
Today we bring you “Ghostboy” from Majestic Casual Records, by Robotaki with Claire Ridgely on the vocals. Though this song came out a while ago, I definitely think it deserves to be heard by many more. I found Robotaki when he opened for Porter Robinson and Madeon on their Shelter Tour. Not only did he contribute to one of the most amazing shows I’ve ever seen, but he is one of the the best opening acts I have seen as well.
“Ghostboy” is a song with lots of vibes and funk built into it. The first thing you notice is Claire’s soothing vocals that sound very assertive at the same time. The light piano and drums draw you in, then the music rises up with bass and these funky synths that only bring good feelings. My favorite part is when the piano takes over and the music arpeggiates downward. That little part just gets me so into the music. The verse is very smooth and the lyrics are fantastic. I especially like the choice of drums in this song, they are a good fit for the music and are perfectly timed as well. During the bridge, the synths pick up the music. Then the drop hits bringing us back to the funk that makes us want to dance forever.
As I said before, this song is fantastic and deserves to be heard by as many people as possible. Robotaki not only has great abilities as a producer, but as a performer as well. Check out and share “Ghostboy” today!
