Croatia’s premiere electronic event Sonus Festival is set to mark it’s fifth birthday in style this summer, uniting the best talent from the house and techno worlds in one place for five days and five nights of party. Returning to idyllic Zcre Beach, Pag Island between 20th and 24th August, Sonus can reveal the first instalment of the names making Sonus #5 the most monumental to date. From global players Marco Carola, Richie Hawtin, Loco Dice and Ricardo Villalobos to underground hero Sonja Moonear plus club takeovers, boat parties and more, Sonus Festival is THE go to event for any house and techno fan. Already billing the most internationally coveted artists, Sonus Festival have pulled out all the stops for their most impressive lineup to date. From Drumcode boss Adam Beyer, to Parisian super group Apollonia making their grand return, alongside resident of London rave institution FUSE, Archie Hamilton and the eclectic sounds of Club Der Visionaere resident Binh.
Expect a pure and technical set from Frankfurt boy Chris Liebing, and German techno figurehead Dorian Paic, as well as another one of the FUSE gang, the enigmatic Enzo Siragusa. Adding to the celebrations will be upbeat grooves from Fabio Florido, as well as Richie Hawtins’ ENTER team mate, the ever charismatic Hito.
Everyones’ favourite Glasweigian, Jackmaster joins the soiree with an excess of Scottish charm, whilst representing the Hot Creations camp is Jamie Jones. Tuskegee newcomer and USA native Jesse Calosso is set for a Sonus debut, there will be uplifting beats from Dutch breakout producer Joey Daniel, plus a huge set from the almighty Joseph Capriati.
Brace yourselves for the return of Karotte, who has the ability to turn any crowd into a party, Music:On affiliate Leon, serious selector Meat and one of Munich’s finest exports Monika Kruse, are all to grace the stages at the fifth edition of the festival. Also making the Pag Island pilgrimage is founder of 8bit Records Nick Curly, techno titans Pan-Pot, and Richy Ahmed with his trademark deep and sassy sound.
Techno maestro and Dystopian boss Rødhåd and Italian techno hero Sam Paganini hit the beach, alongside fresh talent from Stuttgart party starters SHDW & Obscure Shape. Completing the first round of names for Sonus will be the expert selections of Queen of minimal Sonja Moonear and infectious grooves from Seth Troxler and The Martinez Brothers. Dynamic duo Tale Of Us bring their signature blend of eclectic joints in addition to a captivating live performance from Vril – plus so much more still to be announced.
