Dannic & We AM – Move [Fonk Recordings]
On the heels of his massive collaboration “Music” with Merk & Kremont, Dannic now teams up with burgeoning Swedish duo We AM for “Move”.
“Move” marks one of many records to come from the Fonk boss’ action-packed Tomorrowland set earlier this summer. We AM first established themselves on the label back in April when they released the Dannic edit of “Make It Go”. This time around, it’s a full-blown collaboration, and has seen some love from Benny Benassi, Martin Garrix and plenty more.
“Move” features the gritty and groovy house sound that has benefitted both Dannic and We AM throughout their careers. Super energetic risers give way to a loud, reggae-styled vocal sample that serves as the main driving force behind the breakdown. The vocal pairs perfectly with aggressive triplets of bass kicks. Snares take over next as “Move” flies towards the drop. Pounding basslines and intricate percussion come together to bring this record to a grand conclusion. The middle breakdown also introduces some musical flair through a slick melody.
