Landon Colvig feat. Emily Cristine – Different
Vocal progressive house is one of the hardest genres to get right, but American Landon Colvig makes it easy on “Different”.
The Arizona-based producer teams up with vocalist Emily Cristine for a record that packs plenty of power and emotion. Those aforementioned qualities can be attributed equally to the instrumental and vocals. If they don’t give you the feels, there’s just a decent chance you’re not actually a human being.
Lighter synths kick things off before a hefty dose of emotion comes in the form of Emily Cristine‘s vocals. Subtle nuances permeate between the vocals as Landon Colvig is able to avoid the monotony that some producers fall into when working with vocals. Before you know it, the record builds up in a very chill way, thanks to some soft percussion. Smooth progressive synths take over from there, working their magic dexterously over a perfectly composed chord progression. “Different” brings emotion and energy successfully in just three and a half minutes.
If you want to show Landon Colvig some extra love, the track is available for purchase via Beatport and iTunes.
