Richy Ahmed – Put Me In A Trance EP [Four Thirty Two]
Richy Ahmed presents the first release to come out on his new label and event series Four Thirty Two. The 2-track ‘Put Me In A Trance’ EP will be released on the 28th October on vinyl, followed by a digital release on the 11th November.
The EP was made entirely with analog gear, without using any plug ins or digital elements. The title track on the A-side features the seductive vocals of UK singer songwriter Gloria Adereti over a dark yet catchy synth melody and retro drum kicks. ‘The Voyage’ on the B side – a collaboration with upcoming producer Jansons – is a faster-paced peak time affair, with echoing diva vocal samples, twinkling synths and a stomping bassline. Both tracks on ‘Put Me In A Trance’ display Richy’s evolving sound and mark him as an ever diversifying producer.
The EP is just the start of a new chapter for Richy and Four Thirty Two. The label offers Richy a chance to A&R the music he loves, as well as to put out unique material of his own. It will be kept to a few releases a year, often from undiscovered and smaller artists who are putting out the high quality material that Richy believes in. A strong focus on artwork and vinyl releases are at the center of the label’s ethos; each release from other producers will come with a vinyl-only remix by Richy and Jansons as Love Hurtz, whilst others will be tuned exactly to 432 Hz – a method commonly used by John Lennon and Bob Marley, and the label’s namesake.
