Vicetone feat. Grace Grundy – Kaleidoscope [Spinnin’ Records]
Few artists can put out emotional progressive house tunes quite like Dutch duo Vicetone. They prove their skill again as they release “Kaleidoscope” with Grace Grundy.
Vicetone possess an impressive discography, with five tracks of their’s reaching the overall No. 1 on Beatport. Their most recent success came during August, as they released “Anywhere I Go” via Spinnin’. Plus, the duo are currently touring the world on the aptly named Kaleidoscope Tour through the end of December (check out the tour dates below).
The breakdown features an emotional piano, and Grace Grundy‘s incredible voice. This stripped-down sound allows the sheer power of the vocals to really take hold. The duo also adds a bit of percussion to give this segment a more dynamic feeling. As she hits the chorus, the instrumental springs to life with an almost hip-hop like set of drums. This, then, gives way to a truncated buildup. Vicetone then employ their trademark sliding synths and a super slick chord progression to bring the track full circle. This track is nothing but impressive, and you should try to catch the boys while they’re on tour.
