Bassjackers & KSHMR feat. Sidnie Tipton – Extreme [Spinnin’ Records]
When artists try something different, it’s really easy to take notice. Bassjackers and KSHMR show off a different side on “Extreme”.
These guys are no strangers to each other, as this tune is their second vocal collaboration after “Memories”. That tune dropped back in August 2015. Both artists recently celebrated successes on the DJ Mag Top 100 list, with Bassjackers climbing 5 spots up to No. 34, and KSHMR 11 spots up to No. 12 (also awarded Best Live Act). This new record also features Sidnie Tipton on vocals. “Extreme” debuted this summer when KSHMR graced the Tomorrowland mainstage for the first time. Since then, Lucas & Steve, Hardwell, W&W and more have spun this record.
“We really liked working with KSHMR again. Besides a musical connection we also developed a friendship outside of music, and we think that friendship contributes to what makes this song so special. Sidnie Tipton’s amazing voice is the cherry on top.”

“Extreme” takes things in a very different direction from each artists’ past work. It checks in at 110 beats-per-minute, and takes on a bit more of a pop blueprint. Sidnie Tipton immediately steals the show with her vocals. They glide from note to note intricately. This track, even though titled “Extreme,” has some strong chill qualities to it. This is emphasized in the drop where euphoric flutes and flowing chords provide an awesome overall sound.
“This song was a journey, trying so many ideas with Bassjackers and their wisdom helped bring the song to a conclusion I really love. Sidnie Tipton again brings something of magic to the table.”
