Axwell Λ Ingrosso – Thinking About You (Remixes) [Virgin EMI]
After years of waiting, and some different versions floating around on the Internet, Swedish power duo Axwell Λ Ingrosso finally dropped their anthem “Thinking About You”. Now, it gets remix treatment from DubVision and HOUNDED.
The original already proved to be quite a popular track, garnering over 15 million streams so far on Spotify. The remixes seek to add onto that already impressive legacy. Axwell Λ Ingrosso themselves began supporting the DubVision remix of the track during their summer residency at Ushuaïa Beach Club in Ibiza.
The remix from DubVision is exactly what you would expect from the Dutch duo. They made their name from their melodic sounds, and transformed “Thinking About You” into a progressive thoroughbred. Carefully playing with the original vocals, the duo adds their own flair with an awesomely composed melody and a finely-tuned bassline.
HOUNDED completely flips the script with his remix. The Sydney-based producer slows it down for us with a super chill take. Subtle 808 drums and tropical top synths unite to give “Thinking About You” a different feeling. Even sped up, the vocals still cause chills, and this remix serves as the perfect counter to the other on the package.
