David Guetta & Cedric Gervais & Chris Willis – Would I Lie To You [Jack Back Records]
The man who revolutionized mainstream dance music is now back with a banging club track titled “Would I Lie To You”.
Frenchman David Guetta links up with fellow countryman Cedric Gervais and “Love Is Gone” collaborator Chris Willis for a long-awaited return to the club scene. David Guetta took a brief detour into the pop world for tracks like “Bang My Head” with Sia and Fetty Wap, and also “This One’s for You” alongside Zara Larsson. Cedric Gervais, with a Grammy under his belt for his “Summertime Sadness” remix for Lana Del Rey, launched his own imprint with Armada titled Delecta Records. Chris Willis continues to be a favorite vocalist of David Guetta‘s, given that they have worked on countless records together.
The folks involved on this production actually released three different versions of this track, so there’s something for everyone. The original mix is an airy pop production, filled to the brim with soulful vocals and a super groovy bassline. The club mix brings in an awesome acid/303 synth sound that sounds great over a big sound system. If you’re looking to crank up the intensity, grab the festival mix since its massive bass kick and percussive top line is proven formula for driving crowds crazy. This whole EP provides a sound for everyone, and is definitely worth a download.
