Amsterdam Dance Event – Day 1: What You Can’t Miss
With exactly one month to go before the opening of this year’s Amsterdam Dance Event, it is pretty easy to be overwhelmed by the amount of events on the schedule. So, we decided to put together a definitive guide to determine the events you simply cannot miss. Each day will feature a guide to five events that one simply cannot miss. We start off with the first day of the event, Wednesday, October 19.
Oliver Heldens Presents Heldeep
Oliver Heldens completely reinvented himself as the master of future house. He and his HI-LO alias will take over the Desmet Studio’s Wednesday from 21:00 – 02:00 with plenty of deep and melodic house music. To this point, Mr. Heldens and HI-LO are the only names on the lineup. However, one can expect plenty of great additions as the event comes closer.
Amsterdam Music Festival Official Opening: Top 100 DJs
Everyone waits with bated breath to see the results of the infamous DJ Mag Top 100 DJs poll. This event is just one of the many to be put on by Amsterdam Music Festival, but it is arguably their most important one. This event will rock the Heineken Music Hall from 22:00 – 05:00, so be sure you’re ready for the long haul.
Nicky Romero & Friends: Protocol x ADE 2016
A perennial favorite each year at ADE is Nicky Romero‘s Protocol label night. He always manages to fill the lineups with incredible names, and this year is no exception. The event touts “over 2,200 attendees yearly,” and already features a lineup with names like Yves V, Blinders and Florian Picasso backing up the label boss. Get yourself to Melkweg from 22:00 – 05:00 so that you can get connected.
OWSLA Label Showcase
OWSLA continues to be one of the most diverse labels in the game. Their lack of genre boundaries will be on display when the label takes over Undercurrent for a crazy night from 22:00 – 03:00. The absolutely stacked lineup with Valentino Khan, Wiwek and more looks primed to deliver some madness. Plus, there’s a chance to win your way into the afterparty at the Crane Hotel if you attend.
Dannic Presents Fonk Recordings
Dannic and his Fonk Recordings imprint has seen huge success in the year since the project began. It was just last year that he was out collecting demos in the streets of Amsterdam. Now, some of the names that frequent the label will come out to Escape deLux to rock the space for five straight hours. If you need a fix of groovy house music, you’ve got your spot.
