Both artists do big-room house best, and that certainly shines through on “Higher”. The track goes straight into the first drop, and it packs a ton of heat. A merciless, triplet-style bassline joins up with howling synths for an electro vibe that cannot be beat. The grinding, dark sound of the synths harkens back to an older electro sound. In the middle breakdown, Joey Dale and Olly James show off their melodic side. They unleash a perfect set of rave chords to complement the heavier drops. When you put everything together, you get an electro smash that is not for the timid.
