Steve Aoki & Deorro – Be Yourself
The friendship between Steve Aoki and Deorro clearly runs deep. The two have now gotten back into the studio for “Be Yourself”.
These two are certainly no strangers to each other’s work. They previously collaborated with Diplo on a tune called “Freaks”. More importantly, this track is out as a free download.
Each producer has a specialty, and they come together perfectly on this track. Steve Aoki productions tend to be heavier electro creations, while Deorro specializes in more bouncy sounds. Naturally, “Be Yourself” is a bouncy track with a bit of electro edge. That bears a striking similarity to their previous collaboration. The melody brings about your standard sound, with a simple pluck progression creating an energetic sound. Next, Steve Aoki and Deorro bring on a screaming count-up to a powerful drop. Dynamic synths link up with a pounding bassline to make “Be Yourself” a main-room essential track.
