PREMIERE: Bolier – Ipanema (Bart B More Remix) [Spinnin’ Deep]
We are proud to team up with Spinnin’ Deep to premiere the super-groovy Bart B More remix to Bolier‘s “Ipanema”. The original mix was highly successful, with support from R3hab, Kryder, Oliver Heldens and many more. Now, the focus shifts towards the remixes.
Hailing from Utrecht, Bart B More is a name that has been synonymous with quality house music for years now. He is an icon in the Spinnin’ family, with plenty of releases across their various imprints. His tracks see support from a wide variety of artists, with Kaskade, Tchami and W&W being just a few.
The original places a heavy emphasis on the flute lead, which Bart B More more or less keeps intact. His remix is all about keeping the groove going. The tropical vibe created by Bolier continues to dominate, and Bart B More‘s bassline is the final piece to the puzzle. The “Ipanema” remixes will be released on August 1.
When selecting new music for my bi-weekly mixtape/podcast, I came across ‘Ipanema’ which was sent to me without the artist’s name. I really loved the sounds and the production of the track, but somehow it didn’t quite fit into the vibe of the mix…so I decided to do a small edit. I restructured the song and added some extra percussion to the beats. The original has quite extended breakdowns which are cool, but for my mixtape and dj sets I wanted to keep the groove going a bit longer, so the dancefloor would be able to keep dancing uninterruptedly. I think this version does just that!
